What an adventure this was! My first time up in this corner of the Presidential Range in NH. Also my first time carrying large format watercolor paper to paint onsite in the mountains.

Beautiful hike, but cold and windy at the base of this popular back-country ski slope. I found shelter under a roof over a deck but the wind still whipped around me.

With minimal materials I worked quickly to get the job done. So happy with the result, and a memorable experience. I want more like it!
